The best training that Kait has received, however, has been from her clients themselves! For the last five years, Kait has been a clinician and Senior Mental Health Counselor at URMC Pediatric Behavioral Health and Wellness, primarily working with children exposed to trauma and stressors, the early childhood population, and providing reflective supervision to clinicians. Kait additionally works per diem as a supervisor through Integrative Counseling Services located in Oswego, NY, assisting clinicians in working towards their credentials in play therapy.

Kait specializes in providing psychotherapy for infants, young children, and their families regarding  the following challenges: trauma exposure, attachment difficulties, separation anxiety, grief and loss, high conflict divorce and custody, parenting support, and medical trauma. Kait utilizes evidence-based approaches in her work, including Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), play therapy, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Kait’s goal is to provide a supportive and safe environment to children and their families in order to assist them in working towards their therapeutic goals.
